설립목적
2008년 설립 된 한국영어읽기클리닉(English Reading Clinic in Korea)은 미국 오레건 대학교 읽기클리닉센터( University of Oregon Reading Clinic Center)와 의 지속적인 연구 협력을 바탕으로, 미국 Acadience Reading Ltd. 와 연구 협약을 쳬결 하고, 한국형 읽기진단프로그램의 공동 연구 개발과 현장 확산을 목적으로 설립되었습니다.

주요 활동
- 2004년 이후 지속적인 활동을 유지해온 읽기 전문 교사 모임인 영어동화리터러시 연구회를 기반으로 출범.
- 학부모 대상 Workshop 및 세미나 연 2회 이상 개최.
- 교육청 방과 후. 돌봄 교실 영어 교재 개발.
- 2015 미국 라스베가스 Preschool Early Literacy Indicators(PELI) 및 Essential Workshop 전달 연수.
- 2015 Dr. Good & Dr. Kaminski 초청 교사연수
- 2016년 8월 한국언어과학회 국제학술대회 Dr. Kaminski(Univerity of Oregon) 초청 Workshop
- 2017 7월 Super Institute Workshop 참가 후 전달 연수
- 2018년 7월 Reading Teacher Workshop 참가 후 전달 연수
- 2020 년 8월 미국 Acadience Ltd & 한국 ERCK 연구협력에 관한 독점 협약 체결

영어 읽기의 황금기를 지나는 아이들의 결론은 같습니다. 잘 읽지 못하는 아이들은, 잘 읽는 아이들이 하는 것을 하지 않는 다는 것입니다.
그 격차는 생각보다 일찍 시작되고, 결정적 시기를 벗어나면 그 격차는 노력 만으로 회복하기 어려워집니다.
그 때가 아니면 안되는 일이 분명히 있습니다.

Vision Statement
The English Reading Clinic in Korea, in order to co-create with children, their parents, and teachers proper English education in our country, proclaim the following missions:
1. Help all children to become proficient users of English, through early detection of and appropriate intervention for children requiring remediation in English literacy.
2. Provide all parents with proper methods for educating our children in English, and, through individualized education of parents, enable them to learn and teach English.
3. Based on a systematic curriculum, produce teachers who are experts in literacy diagnosis and assessment, and create and provide an ever-improving teacher education system.
4. Renew hope and trust in public English education and lead public as well as private English education, based on best practices in English education.
5. Enable all teachers and parents, through a variety of programs,to gladly and expertly serve their local communities and schools.
6. Be comprised of members who are educators, researchers, and public servants, caring for each other based on mutual love, respect, and trust.
Philosophy
The English Reading Clinic in Korea believes in the following:
1. English proficiency is a matter of opportunity, not innate ability.
2. Complete English education is based on literacy education.
3. All children, when properly supported, can read and write proficiently in English.
4. Expertly educating each and every person is the key to the best education for all people.
